Social media is a realm in and of itself. It's a little bit of PR for the PR agencies, it's a little bit of marketing. And unfortunately, the PR and the marketing folks didn't always use the same marketing terminology.
So when everything meets together in the middle of social media, we get a little bit of confusion.
For instance, when I say I need "assets", the PR person might not understand exactly what a marketing person is going to understand about that term.
